Pros

money is good but you sell your honour and morality as well.

Cons

There is a general manager who manage(!) company more than 20 years. There are more than 1500 people. Other banks do same job with only at most 600 people. There are a lot of people do not do anything about job, only gossip and drink tea or having relatioanship with managers.

Pros

Talented colleagues and met some of the nicest people working for the company.

Cons

BBVA Compass is one of the most disorganized organization and almost impossible to work for unless you work in more established regions like Texas. Yet if you aren’t working in Texas… beware! Month to month it’s been one surprise after another from reorganizations, layoffs and sudden retirements. Last month I went to my office to find a empty building our entire commercial and wealth management team were let go. Didn't they just hire them 1 years ago? They did this in multiple regions no warning. BBVA Compass hires whole units with big plans then 1 year later the strategy has changed and everyone’s laid off. We make major investments in something a couple months later we decide to change it. This company reacts constantly and has no direction. I wouldn't accepts a job because you have no stability in not being laid off 3 months after accepting. I got out just in time and accepted a offer. Shortly after I was hired about 2 months my goal went up 50% and my managers position was eliminated.

Pros

Free lunch and free coffee machines are quite good, but these definitely are not elements that make a workplace great or even good.

Cons

The organization is basically corrupt. There are no moral people in key positions. Having sex with your boss is a good way to climb the corporate ladder and this is a culture in this company. There are literally dozens of people who get into good positions just because they had or are having an affair with their bosses, this is unbelievable. The environment is an every-man-for-himself environment. There is no concept of team or team work. Also for most promotions the more disgusting you are, the more chances you have. If you are someone who openly boasts about cheating on your wife in this company, you will get promoted for sure. The salary is actually not good. For the beginning it maybe is, but in less than a decade your salary hits a ceiling. This is worse than most other similar workplaces and in the long run you are better off working at some place else, instead of this company. The work place provides some health insurance policies, however most people are not happy with those policies because they are simply bad compared to the competition. In general working at Garanti Technology is extremely stressful and the stress levels are well above working at most other places. The every-man-for-himself and no team work and all competition environment makes most people paranoid and in the long run unhappy. The parent company, Garanti Bank is also an organization which does not value customers or employees and this Garanti Technology place is the same. Thus, this company is doomed in the long run.
