      Barclays pays reasonably well and they have good benefits

      Cons

      They are now mandating 2 days per week in the office despite being a multi-location group. I don't have any team members in my office location, but this doesn't seem to concern their desire to see bums on seats.

      Good salary and benefits Very good pension Decent Office/WFH ratio Some really good people at VP level and below

      Cons

      Constantly work more hours (anywhere between 5-10 per week) an there’s no such thing as overtime. Micro-managing to the nth degree. Complete unwillingness to change and processes most of which are insanely bureaucratic. Decisions often have to be taken at MD level and they will leave it to the last minute (if you’re lucky) or just mug you off completely so you can’t finish your tasks. Get emails at weekends and whilst on holiday. I don’t check but it makes Monday mornings absolutely horrific. Senior leadership do not embody any of the stated values.
