      Pros

      - Fantastic benefits - Flexible working - Strong culture (experienced roles at a Group level, within Barclaycard and within the retail bank)

      Cons

      - Very hierarchical - Tendency for bonus-driven culture to rear it's head come review season - Bureaucratic - Male-orientated at a leadership level

      Pros

      The people are great. The pay is above average for the expected amount of work.

      Cons

      Big place with lots of people. Naturally, not everybody can be a star performer. Some people cause more confusion and harm than value. Large legacy code bases with below average technical training make adopting good techniques an uphill battle. Many manual processes causing DevOps to be much more Ops than Dev. It is very easy to get sucked into feeling like you've not delivered enough value during the day, causing pressure to work extra on personal time.

      Brilliant organisation but massive politics between different parts of the business and lot of favouritism.. HR supports the business and not the human resource

      Cons

      While integrity is a value of the organisation it is seldom practiced
