Sinking ship and incompetence everywhere

Pros

There are some (like 20%) of managers that really care about you and focus on your development. If you get one of those, you're lucky. The vast majority of managers won't work with you to aid in development, have insane expectations, and ask you to not use your PTO due to project demands.

Cons

The company org structure is a joke. Marketing dictates R&D and drives R&D decisions but takes 0% of the liability associated with decisions. Don't expect to be promoted or get a raise even if you're a high achiever. Management will find some excuse to pass on you. It doesn’t help that there are many complacent coworkers that would just sit around and do nothing because they know nothing will happen to them for poor performances. This leads to a handful of employees taking 90-99% of the workload. Baxter can be summed up as "where creativity goes to die" and "keep things floating if they barely work". If you're an engineer, I would stay away from Baxter and try to find employment elsewhere.

Pros

This was a great company 2 years back but it's going downhill with childish policies and too much micro management for stuffs like shift allowance. Sometimes you feel like giving bugshis to company itself instead of arguing with HR or Managers for shift allowance.

Cons

Constant organizational changes. All Senior Managers are Bengalis who do partiality to North Indians. Transport is no longer free and charging Rs. 3000 per month. Shift allowance only if you go to office which is Rs. 300 only but they make you feel like they are giving Rs.3000. HRs are too arrogant and they would love every opportunity to deny you the shift allowance for silly reasons. Swipe-in and Swipe-out time is seen for shift allowance. No proper Business Titles. Sr. Specialist is equivalent to Associate Manager but Manager is given preference. Run by contractors than employees. Travel freeze because company is not doing well at present.
