Pros

Progressive company that tries to do the right thing by its employees. Pay is at market level. Large enough company that offers multiple opportunities to build your career. Used to be a stable place to build your career.

Cons

Chaotic management that struggles to implement long-term strategic thinking and communicates in a disconnected way to its employees. Constant change creates an environment that is unsettling and suggestions that employees "lean into" the change is very out of touch.

A giant no longer, good while it lasted

Benefits of working for a large company, perks for employees, they say you have unlimited paid time off...

Cons

Things are not as pretty on the inside, with middle and upper management leaving, stock prices and profits plumetting, new development at a standstill, etc. The Hill-rom (old Welch Allyn) culture has ruined Baxter and what was once a visionary and people-oriented organization. They invest a lot in promoting diversity and inclusion, but it is just for marketing (win trust with the BoD and awards in paid workplace publications). The real results can be found in these reviews. You have to consume the Kool-Aid and fit a mold if you want to advance your career at this place!
