Pros

Exciting industry -- Being a part of something that helps others is truly rewarding.

Cons

I was part of a recent acquisition by Baxter. The environment prior to the acquisition was truly something special. The company was full of people who cared for one another and for patients and their caregivers. Baxter completely erased the points of our culture that made it a special place to work. The CEO was completely disrespectful of others and this trickled down through the organization. It was impossible to feel comfortable there. People lied, treated others with disrespect, and the culture didn't value diversity whatsoever. I had such high hopes for the combined companies, but I truly feel Baxter leadership ruined any chances of success. God forbid I'm ever hospitalized -- I would request that no Baxter products be used on me.

Pros

seriously, I can't think of one Pro

Cons

This place does not understand the purpose of an employee. They expect your work to become your life, and that happens... Little by little, you become less involved with your family, friends and your own happiness. The pay is below market. The hours are long. Your coworkers don't have time to help you unless they want to fall behind. 30+ hours of meetings a week is the norm. Where do you find the other hours to actually work? My happiest day was my last. There is hope

Baxter Experience in Sales

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

- Competitive Benefits - Consistent with Industry Norm for Pay

Cons

- Chaotic environment: Since coming to Baxter from the Hillrom acquisition, it was extremely chaotic with more turnover then I've ever seen in a short period. - Cut throat environment: This isn't shocking coming from a fortune 500 company in sales but there was fun or job satisfaction at this company from the limited time I spent there. Felt like each person represented a number and a culture of what have you done for me lately. Nothing you did seemed to be adequate and pressure from management was nonstop and overwhelming. - Cram down their woke progressive politics to employees.
