Pros

- Compensation and benefits are excellent. For instance, the medical and dental package is 2nd to none and much better than most other comparable companies. - Free soda / water for employees and guests. - Decent cafeteria food (albeit a bit pricey). - There are less meetings occurring on a daily basis than there were while I worked at "Big Chip Inc". - Cisco reimburses many costs in a more expedited manner than most larger companies in my opinion. - Folks are intelligent. They even wash their hands when exiting the restroom (believe it or not many at "Big Chip Inc" didn't. ew...). - Nice grounds. Well-cut grass, nice benches, the whole 9-yards. - Telecommuting is common. Really saves on gas and drive times =).

Cons

- Many things in the new hire process are unorganized for new employees. I particularly dislike the 2+ week overhead trying to get initial items setup. - Expectations for corporate culture may be put on badges, but I am not feeling the type of camaraderie that I had, nor the new employee immersing expectations that occurred for my last job with "Big Chip Inc". It's starting to feel like more people are there putting in their 9 - 5 instead of being there because they enjoy their work more. Then again I am biased and so is my viewpoint of being a Software Engineer.

Pros

Professional Growth, Career Advancement, Job Security, Good Pay

Cons

just like any other big company, can't get big fast. Gotta go through the normal path of growth.

Pros

flexibility in work schedule, an actual career path and planning ensures growth, as an employee you can take advantage of all the programs, interest groups, organizations whose operations range from the larger corporate culture to a very personal level of your team -- given the opportunity to hone your development experience within a well managed process. no matter what stage you are at in your career, you will always find yourself learning from someone - or you'll find bright, freshness, and motivation of youth that could use the mentoring of an experienced professional. you can really live the 9-5 life and be fine, or if your bursting with that 'start-up' spirit, management will not hesitate to compensate and recognize your efforts.

Cons

pay - known and admittedly so that top dollar isn't paid to it's employees.
