Pros

-Work/Life balance - They respect your real life schedule and will allow you to work around your life instead of your life working around your job -Health Benefits - For a start up with less than 200 employees I would say they have very competitive health/dental/vision/life insurance/etc benefits and many options to choose from so you are thrown into a catch all policy -Work environment - It is extremely relaxed when you are at work, everyone trusts that you will do what you were hired for, no micro managing.

Cons

-Due to it's start up nature there is a lot of disorganization, but this has also allowed a lot of opportunity for innovation and problem solving to be developed amongst new and old hires alike. it's a positive within a con. -There are sometimes issues with communication due to the fact that a majority of the company is in Mexico, so it's very beneficial if you know Spanish and English.

Confusing Culture.

Pros

Great benefits health benefits. Unlimited PTO (but you'll be too busy to use it).

Cons

The work from home anytime policy was changed to a work from office 9 to 6 or the door is always open policy. The speed at which teams are expected to operate is unsustainable. Seem to be more focused on hiring new people than promoting from within. Seem to be investing much more in the Mexican branch of the company than the Utah branch of late.

Thanks a lot for the input, at Clip we encourage people to speak up and share their perspective so that we can address opportunities and continue to improve for our organization. We would also encourage you to reach out to leadership with your concerns and feedback. We have recently announced we are doubling the size of our development teams structure; this requires us to focus on hiring talent across all our different offices so that we can manage the different priorities and projects that our current size is not allowing us to do in an efficient and fast way. In the expansion there are and will continue to be opportunities from internal development. As part of our culture, we believe in flexibility and support different ways to achieve results. In the past months, our leadership has shared the opportunities ahead and have asked for extra effort and engagement to seize them. The understanding of work from home policy has been broadly discussed as it was not enabling results neither fostering the right level of engagement and collaboration across teams. As a young Company, we are in a continuous learning process and will continue to evolve in fostering an environment of full engagement and collaboration to achieve great results.

Pros

They pay pretty well and in theory have an unlimited vacation policy

Cons

There is a lot of petty power plays by the upper management. There is also a ton of micromanagement by leaders that don't know what they are doing. The engineering team is treated like dumb factory workers. There are some sketchy practices that are probably illegal. As a software engineer it is hard to get anything done.

We appreciate the honest feedback. The team has grown rapidly, and there have been growing pains associated with this growth. In the last few weeks, we sent out an anonymous company survey. Based on the feedback shared, we have made many changes in how we lead the team, and in several cases made changes with leaders based on feedback shared. There are strict industry regulations and business guidelines, including PCI that we follow. It looks like you've left the organization, we would still welcome the chance to have you reach out to our VP of People to share your concerns in more detail. Our team is going through many transitions, and we value feedback in the process of improving the team, culture, and way we make software.
