Pros

Note: Concentrix have multiple clients and you will usually only ever work for one. This client was one of their main and my review will centre around my experience working on behalf of that client. You work on behalf of an awesome name in tech being the front line of support for their products. Friendly co-workers. Flexible hours. Discount on the client's products. Central office location. Free food often. Incentives to work extra shifts.

Cons

Must sign an NDA and agreement stating that you will not ever name the client you work on behalf outside of your job which means you cannot put the big name client on your resume. You don't know anything about most new products until the day the public does leading you to have to play catchup very quickly. HR is rude and useless when issues are reported. Pay issues were common when I worked there and took nagging to be fixed. Tools that can be vital to helping you do your job can only be accessed by higher level staff members meaning you have to call them for simple information. Moving up past a certain point is hard and there is a lot of favoritism in the workforce. You won't be promoted for your KPI's and work ethic if you aren't best friends with your team leader. Pay is award minimum and you will only make decent money with penalty rates. When I worked there the call recording system was fragmented and buggy and the computers were very old. We also never got devices to play with so were left to support and be the go to experts products we had never even touched before.

Pros

Decent salary and good colleagues, although many good people have left

Cons

*Workforce Management (WFM) who makes our schedules never publish them on time. We were promised 4-6 weeks of schedules in advance, but rarely have more than 2, so it is almost impossible to plan our lives outside of Concentrix. They are impossible to communicate with because they are arrogant and often can’t be bothered to read their emails. They give us crazy schedules with unhealthy jumps in start times. There was one week they kept changing my schedule and I had 4 different schedules for the same week. I arrived on the Monday and they had changed the rest of the week giving me 5 different start times in the same week. It is disgraceful to treat employees like that. *They regularly change our schedules retrospectively, which could well be considered fraud. *They gave me random vacation days I didn’t want or ask for, but several times refused to give me the days I did need and did ask for. Then I had to write to them 2-3-5 times to get them to change it or take sick days, which was the only way to keep my appointments at times, even though I had asked them 5-6 weeks in advance and well before the schedules were published. It is disgraceful to treat employees like that. *After publishing the schedule, they have changed it, so when I had a day off and made sure my appointment out of town was on my day off, then it suddenly was not my day off anyway. It is disgraceful to treat employees like that. *People may have had their holidays approved, but with short notice WFM cancel some days and people have had to get their holidays reapproved after booking their flights and hotels. It is disgraceful to treat employees like that. *Management promised us a 72 hour turn around on holiday requests, but after the first email gave me a verbal approval I had to write another 4 emails before I got a written approval and it took almost three months. The written approval only arrived 2 weeks before I was leaving. It is disgraceful to treat employees like that. *GM people also bear some responsibility for the poor work environment. When we are waiting for calls we need to keep our minds active and if we had access to Concentrix University or could read e-books it would help, but that is not allowed, even though our focus would be on the screen and it would disappear with one mouse click when a call comes in. I understand they have to be compliant with payment card industry rules, but some rules are just job satisfaction killers and have nothing to do with PCI complience because the activity they ban carry no risk at all. *There are often mistakes on our payslips. I had several incorrect payslips during my time here and it is more trouble and frustration to get it sorted. I can only advice people to stay away from Concentrix in Luton. Employees are treated very badly.
