Pros

Dish pays a little better than average for this area and has OK benefits. I am a night owl and enjoyed working for once in my life, late hours. Having a DVR system and all the channels for almost nothing was nice too.

Cons

They have a philosophy of sink or swim. If you are young & smart, come in for a few months supposedy do a great job, then start missing, and then get fired because of attendance. The turnover rate is 62% - so they are always offering current employees a $300 bonus to bring their friends. At 53, I'm twice as old as your average frontline worker, and I admit I am not as sharp as I used to be. After a year & a half I was shown the door because my stats weren't "good" enough. I was there everyday and did a good job, just not a great job. They were unwilling to give me any serious help to do my job better, just tokens. You would think with such a high turnover rate they would take people who want to stay more seriously and have extra training. This is why you hate to call customer service so much. Most agents have probably worked there less than 6 months, or at least at Dish.

Great pay and benefits for experience level required. Agents treated with a lot of respect. Company attitude is great. Good opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Long hours. Benefits aren't the best. Lack of communication on buisness changes. Inability to take ownership of your career( linear career progression.)
