      Installation Managers have to pay for everything up front first then get reimbursed!!!

      As a Install manager you get to work with people on a daily basis Metrics make it a competitive business and help drive you

      Cons

      As a install manager you aren't told up front that you have to pay for everything up front to include food for your technicians, supplies for the office, heat relief funds for your technicians, and hotels/rental cars for training that dish is sending you to. This is ridiculous!!! Hours are horrible as Dish cuts managers positions and leaves 3 managers to run an office of over 30 technicians. Most days are 6 AM to who knows.... Sometimes 8,9,10,11 PM... No work life balance and they wonder why Vans aren't clean LOL Everyone is exhausted trying to get tasks completed that normally would take 5 managers to do.

      Pros

      i would say the video service, but at the office i was at, the management tried to make employees feel guilty if they did not have it.

      Cons

      i worked in the warehouse. we were overstaffed and i barely worked 40 hrs a week. that was until the tornado tore through our building, while i was in the building. they treated me as if nothing happened and made us work out of a storage unit for months. inventory specialist do not get the benefits of the office staff and do not get the bonus structure of the technicians.

      They did often promote from within even without previous experience in the new field

      Cons

      They will not give you enough of a pay increase to cover cost of living increases, not even if you end up relocating. Upper management are Yes men, if you aren't you'll be black balled. They expect you to live for Dish and give up everything including your family, health or safety.
