Pros

Most of the frontline staff were extremely competent and engaged, without them, I would have been lost. DRC has a lot of worthwhile projects in Lebanon that help thousands of vulnerable people.

Cons

Staff supervision skills left a lot to be desired. I had two supervisors my whole time there (which is in itself a management no-no), yet had no regularly scheduled weekly meetings with either of them, ever. My job duties were unclear and when I tried to assert some sort of independence, one of the supervisors would jump in in hyper-corrective manner. Two of the three supervisors I had over the time, had the worst personnel management skills I've experienced in my professional life. At times I felt like there were too many chefs in the kitchen, at other times nobody supervising the boiling over pots.
