      Pros

      The benefits are above average and the opportunity to wear many different hats and acquire new skills/experiences is truly exceptional.

      Cons

      People move around a lot. The alliance that you forge today may be gone tomorrow. Positions moving between work groups and layoffs are rampant.

      Dynamic but work life balance is non-existent

      Pros

      Highly dynamic workplace -you are never bored working at Dell. Projects are short, focused and intense. A lot of opportunity to move across disciplines in different business units. A flat organisation, with senior management accessible to almost all levels.

      Cons

      Don't expect a lot of support in developing your career. Its up to the individual to identify development opportunities and pursue them. Work-life balance is way off kilter. A lot of abiguity and heavy reliance on personal networks to get things done

      Dell - If you really need a good resume filler

      Pros

      Big, well-known company that looks good on a resume. Decent job of providing work and life balance in the majority of roles, but some roles require extensive overtime.

      Cons

      Dell is losing in the marketplace, losing market share and shrinking revenue. I question the long term path that the company is on. Morale is amazingly low, no one is sure if they will have a job next week, so there is a lot of employees doing the minimum amount to get by.
