Business Outlook
Pros
Very recognizable name brand company. Definitely good people in lots of places throughout the company, from top to bottom. Pay and bonuses have been competitive in my experience.
Cons
Dell is a huge company and it's not easy to "move the needle" in any appreciable way as an individual contributor, particularly if you don't happen to work in Round Rock. The company infrastructure is quite cumbersome and the overhead of processes for expense reports, reviews, etc. is very high. In many ways it doesn't feel like a cohesive whole moving towards a common goal as company structure and product emphasis has changed often during my time, and the touch points to other job functions are often silo-ed.
