Pros

Some seniors and juniors are nice people and show understanding, treat you as equals and are respectful.

Cons

Long long hours all year long, especially at busy season (entire year) Too many performance review processes and steps being added every year in order to ensure you don’t get a bonus and don’t progress Difficult to progress and get promoted on merit and skills , rather on being a good a**licker. Manager group badmouthing all juniors , even if you do good work there will be one time that you stand up for yourself and it’s clearly not acceptable Managers matter more than juniors at the eyes of the partners , don’t expect to be treated equally Long processes to get annual leave approved and any other request- be prepared to get questioned every step of the way. Not as empathetic to international colleagues as those born and bred in the country that you are working in. Pays and salary increases very very low, below industry standards, bonuses non existent for juniors All that matters is to charge more than 35hrs a week - if you do that you will be on good books with the manager group. Might be doing the best job there but one wrong moment will give you a bad feedback that is enough to be used against you at year end reviews Personal grudges come in the middle Doesn’t allow juniors to give managers feedback only the opposite so not really reflecting of how you are being treated Managers being rude on teams messages but ‘normal and kind’ in emails as these are ‘evidence’

Political Work culture

Business Outlook

Pros

Opportunities to learn latest cutting edge technologies

Cons

Lot of politics played by leadership. Nobody knows who is the decision maker and people keep passing the ball from Counsellor to Leadership to HR and back to Counsellor again leaving you stuck in a endless cycle. Your options are least valued. Once you are stuck in a crap project, getting out of it is a nightmare. If you raise your concerns, you will be targeted. The worst notice period policy of 3 months. They don't relieve you even if you are in bench during notice period. Pathetic work culture with full of politics.
