Pros

Great people to work with (for the most part). Great pay, benefits, and location.

Cons

Current manager doesn't understand the word empathy. Has driven several consultants out with his attitude.

Pros

Element treated me very well and gave me a lot of opportunity to move up and move around. Compensation seems fair for industry. Beautiful company car on annual basis in certain positions is certainly a nice perk. Industry events such as Canadian Int’l Car Show and OEM Ride & Drives allow employees to drive some beautiful cars that would be other inaccessible to them. If you enjoy learning about vehicles and have a passion for simplifying an otherwise extremely complex operation for customers, Element can offer that satisfaction.

Cons

Many people complain where complaints seem rarely justified. This doesn’t allow for a very positive culture at times but this can be fixed with more open communication from leadership and more face time I think. Sales people seem to be the only employees now benefitting from the “perks of the fleet industry” such as demo vehicles and industry event invites. If you can extend these perks to other departments where possible, I’m sure it would be a very positive experience for most employees. (And probably reduce the typical operations vs commercial “battles” in some way)

Pros

*Co-Workers There isn't much that I would say is a pro.

Cons

Management doesn't seem to care about making changes. We constantly give feedback but nothing changes for the better. Departments are losing people faster than they can keep them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Element provides multiple avenues for employees to provide feedback which is continuously reviewed at a leadership level. For example, Element conducts an employee engagement survey every 12-24 months to gather feedback from employees across all functions and regions. Once the results are received a multi-pronged plan is implemented to address the most important areas. The plan is executed by a broad range of employees who are joined by Leadership and HR Business Partners. The purpose of the survey and the resulting action plan is to always get better at what we do. Element respects a person’s decision regarding the organization they choose to work for. If you have immediate concerns about a Department’s ability to provide a superior customer experience, please let us know at employeecommunications.fleet@elementcorp.com.
