Pros

working from home is nice, but they use it to mask firing large portions of employees.

Cons

almost everything else; pay is average. Work hours are criminal, there is NO loyalty to employee's but they expect the reverse. I took on the tasks of several co-workers who were let go or quit over a few months. I was working 24/7 until i would fall asleep. Eventually, a VP took issue with me and i was fired shortly after. I am fortunate to be an ops engineer and had a job within the week, then Ellucian had nerve enough to call and ask me back.. NO WAY?!! Also, I think their social media branch posts Glass Door reviews to improve their rating.

Pros

The clients are wonderful and very patient with the lack of delivery on Ellucian's part. Greatest day was the day I quit!

Cons

Extremely toxic environment. Back-stabbing upper management. Constant turnover. Zero loyalty to hardworking employees. Unrealistic goals. Weekly beat-downs by Director level and above. No support. No ownership of quality of product.

Private Equity Death Spiral

Pros

Good starting salary and very good benefits. The Professional Services rank and file personnel are, on the whole, very experienced and excellent consultants.

Cons

The company has been in a private equity death spiral for years now. Each time the company gets sold (every 2 years or so now) you get new execs, new lists of priorities, and new value statements. Yearly salary increases have gone from decent to now barely keeping up with inflation. "Cheaper and faster" ethos is turning the company into the Walmart of consulting firms.
