Pros

-Had a Halloween party once. -Popcorn (seriously). -The desks can be raised and lowered to accommodate employees of varying statures and postures.

Cons

-Departmental management is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered in my 20+ years in the tech field. Laughable to the point of being nearly unbelievable. It's as if they try to suck. -No team feeling whatsoever. You're on an island. -When asked to participate or assist with duties slightly outside of their roles, some employees demonstrated extremely negative attitudes.

Pros

Working from home. Low level people are very nice and concerned about their clients.

Cons

Another round of layoffs. You let go ten percent and you don't even tell the rest of the company. Established a curve that during reviews, 30% would be above average, 60% would be average, and 10 % below average. Raises would depend on which group you were rated into, and how much you make compared to the average salary for your position. We were led to believe that 10% would get no raise; turns out they were fired instead.

Pros

There were still some good people worth working with before I left. That was a bright spot. Good natured humans that worked hard but respected and appreciated you. Working remote is also a bonus but that coin has two sides.

Cons

The CMO is awful. Long gone are the days of having a person in charge who truly cared about their team. I'm not the only person to leave, if they weren't laid off in 2020 (during a pandemic), they left of their own accord because the toxicity level exceeds treatment plants. Also - don't let the diversity and inclusion fool you. The marketing team couldn't not have been farther from that.
