Pros

- Good vacation/PTO/sick time benefits, most managers can be flexible with work hours to an extent. - Plenty of growth opportunities if you are able to work in a main office. - Some really excellent people in lower/mid management who truly do care about their employees. Some of the best supervisors/management I've ever worked for are at Paychex.

Cons

- Pay is not competitive - Little to no growth opportunities if you aren't in a main office. - Recently removed full work from home as an option, hybrid only. Will probably remove work from home entirely in the next few years, but this is just my hunch, cannot verify. - With a company this large there are always going to be bad managers as well, some of the worst I've ever worked for are here as well, there are some clique groups that don't care about their employees, take credit for their successes, and only promote themselves. - The company was 10 times better 10 years ago, a lot of small incremental changes have really degraded the work environment and employee experience.

Pros

Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

Cons

It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

Pros

Remote work and Flexible Time Off

Cons

Low pay. Minimal to no career growth. Constant leadership turnover. Conflicting priorities from the top with little strategic direction. Endless “do more with less” mentality and burnout. Mandatory culture and positivity “training” instead of fixing the problems creating poor culture. The company has become reactive, chaotic, and disconnected from the employees who keep it running. Current CEO drove down stock price and eradicated worker morale. Terrible leadership.
