Pros

The pay and benefits are reasonable for the type of work you have to do. You do get incentives for making sales. The hours are flexible and you can swap with other agents to fit your life work needs. Remote work is allowed.

Cons

However, the stress experienced trying to meet the unreasonable demands that the upper management puts on their front-line agents the pros do not compensate for it. Upper and lower management does not listen to their agents which is why so many good agents have left. Agents are written up for the most petty things and put on 60-day probation for improvement. It seems like the lower management only cares about covering their assets if the performance measures are not met. It seems like they are not looking out for the best interests of the people that are making them the money they crave which is the only bottom line that they care about. The lower management does not recognize when agents are mentally drained and are unable to meet the stressful demands of this job only keeping the upper management off their back if the performance measures are not met. You have to pretend that you are upbeat and happy while most of the potential customers and members treat you like crap especially if they recognize that you fall into the minority group. The upper management does not pay too much attention to you if you fall into the minority group even if you are meeting and exceeding all performance measures. The incentives they give you for making sales are rigged so that the company and its clients will make more money off the sales generated. I have read the financial reports of this company and its clients and I have seen since working with them their revenue has increased yearly but our pay has not been commensurate with the amount of money they are making. Also, since many of us work at home the company does not have the overhead they used to have when they had to maintain a lot of buildings and all the other expenses that come with that much of those expenses have been passed on to us. We have to pay for our home where our offices are now, internet, phones, and electricity which we have to use for our job but we do not get compensated for that.

Pros

Great benefits, great team (if you’re lucky)

Cons

You’ll be lucky if you stay with the team or company you were hired for after 2 years. Will not give you notice if you get laid off. Will use you as the worker to train their AI system for the job. Lack of support from management (again, depends on the team). Will wreck havoc on your mental health.
