Pros

Many of the software products developed by Epicor are superior in their markets.

Cons

Jobs have moved out of the United States steadily for the last 3 years. Every department seems short handed and under great pressure. There is little chance of having a successful and consistent work-life balance due to the level of results expected and the few resources available. Do not expect to be rewarded for going above and beyond. Management is typically hired from outside rather than promoting existing individual contributors. Senior Management is too involved in the daily details; not empowering individual contributors. In 9 years of employment, and multiple managers, only one of them would I consider a good leader and mentor to emulate. There is no job security at any level and that seems to have led to a culture of blame and shame rather than teambuilding and collaboration.

Pros

The people dealing with the customers are very good and helpful to the customers. The office is an nice and friendly place to work.

Cons

The management team does not listen to employee's suggestions or opinions. They are slow to make improvements to software products that would benefit most of their customers, and are slow to respond to customers requests. They would rather move customer support jobs out of USA and to other countries so that they can make the bottom line of the balance sheet look better.
