Pros

Good work to life balance, generous PTO time can be accrued. Nice physical work environment. Good location and easy to get to work, close to turnpike.

Cons

Retail management has taken over distribution Business Development team and have little knowledge or desire to recognize the difference. Manage by bullying and constant threats. The team lost great members and manager due to the retail bullies. The focus is to push quantity and the quality has taken major turn for worse is last two months. Immediate management just want to show daily strong numbers and not overall quality.

Pros

Good place to start your career out of college.

Cons

Pay is below average for Austin. Company going through a lot of changes and seems to be a lot of uncertainty as work is shifted to locations in Mexico and soon India. Culturally, they are a little lost at finding themselves.

Always something interesting happening

Pros

There is always something interesting and challenging going on. The company has a large international presence, which means there is a broader view of the work being done. There is so much opportunity for learning and exposure to complex transactions, acquisitions, foreign currency, foreign subsidiaries, etc. The people who work here are very smart and dedicated, great to work with. Being large and diverse, there are opportunities for advancement and working in other departments.

Cons

If you like routine and knowing exactly what your day will be, Epicor is not for you. The company is still working on consolidating systems, so the current systems are old and there are a lot of them. Data is hard to gather and analyze. Deadlines are tight, and that requires the dedication to stay and get the work done. The expectation is that you will commit to doing it, yet the compensation isn't competitive. There is an effort by management to provide more "soft" benefits to offset this, but its an issue.
