It’s a job

Pros

They take care of their own. Even when we weren’t working during the pandemic, while other companies were laying off employees, they at least paid us for 35hrs/wk

Cons

Like everywhere else they want you to do more with less, which creates a difficult and stressful work environment. Especially when the work load keeps going up, but the pay doesn’t, and neither does the number of team members on staff. When I started at the office there were 12 people in my building. They now expect us to do the same job with half the staff.

Pros

Worked with many good people ...

Cons

but your growth depended much in how well you were liked and involved with the individuals making the decisions. Stand out with the people that matter and you will make a difference. 100% customer service based. Hotel based positions, Business Centers are career enders. A co-worker warned me before growing towards an open opportunity but inspite of the warnings and moved forward with the promotion and found myself at the beck and call of a Hotel Manager that made it clear he didnt want me running the business center in the Hotel. He reasons were clear to me but besides the point. Hotel clients that inturn would be the Business Center client for scheduled events, would be allowed to scream or verbally abuse not only myself and y staff but also the Hotel team. One bad word or itch on behalf of the said client you may as well pack up your ac closet office space... I left knowing I couldn't return back to following another career path with FedEx office and that I had waited several years of management and career growth. Don not make the same mistake I did.

Pros

This company use to prioritize customer service, culture, and it's employees. Now it's sales... However learning customer service skills and developing a strong work ethic will never go out of style and this is a place to get your feet wet i suppose.

Cons

This company use to prioritize customer service, culture, and it's employees. Now it's sales...After that I'm not sure. I used to get bonuses in 2010 & 2011, then bonuses only went to assistant managers and up. There's no loyalty to employees, regardless how long they'd been there. There's a revolving door of employees coming in, seeing things, then leaving. I stayed as long as I did (10yrs) because it was easy and I was in school. But, when I needed to set my hours, and the pandemic hit, I was laid off. No mention or thank yous were given for the 10 years I'd given.
