Finally, Fluor gets it right in HR!

In my years at Fluor, the company seemed to struggle with naming an HR professional to head the HR department. The M.O. was to place the most senior engineer with the best people skills in the role and then have that person learn the HR business. Finally, they name one of the sharpest and most trustworthy HR people on the planet to fill the SVP role. Great move, Fluor!

Cons

Stop trying to create "One Fluor" when all of the reward systems are geared to individual project performance.
