Pros

- great resources - being exposed to great projects - great people - pays overtime work and accommodates commutes if you stay in the office late for a project

Cons

- company generally does not care about individuals - lots of extra hours and tight deadlines - have to work 50/week on average - unhealthy for a career on the long run and difficult to grow in the company

Pros

High class offices with plenty of resources. San Francisco's office is particularly modeled similar to tech companies with drinks, snacks, coffee, and beer on tap (after hours only) available. Reasonable work hours for the design team. If you're of the LGBTQ community you are highly welcome and protected.

Cons

Be aware of design technology (bim manager/coordinator) positions. They offer roles with great descriptions, though in office design technology positions are treated as drafters and IT. BIM standards are lacking in consistency and considered behind compared to the industry, across the entire organization. Be aware of joining the San Francisco office, which has a "cool kids club" vibe. If you're not part of the club you will feel isolated. Project managers are capable of biased decision making towards those who are "cool" and may use abusive language to speak with you. Resources are lacking in the design technology area and you may find yourself stretched to do your work. If your passion is for learning design and joining a great BIM program, look elsewhere.
