Pros

The other employees and their reputation.

Cons

They're blinded by the numbers on a page, unable to see the real value of the people standing right in front of them. It’s the same old story: climbing the corporate ladder at any cost, with no regard for the hardworking individuals and their families who help them get there. Unfortunately, that’s the harsh reality

Pros

Good location, and close to freeways.

Cons

Busy office, fast-paced, which I was up for the challenge and I came in with a great-positive attitude to work for Gensler only to lose my soul and be treated horribly. Micromanagement but obvert favoritism. Organization and communication can be a challenge and heavy handed towards Project Admins. DM and Human Resources are not supportive of PC's, which are generally critical and inadequate in communicating. They state that they are available to address any issues or concerns, however, then their quick to write you up and treat you horribly. PC's are disregarded, if there any concerns w/the DM's and it will be brought to your attention, rather than being addressed for better-improved work relationships and treatment. Termination is high at Gensler. Inappropriate DEI that is divisive, creates division, and is wrong to promote at work, which is unprofessional. There is no room for asking for mentorship, you will be ousted if you remotely ask for others outside your studio for direction or support by others. Challenging to maintain a work-life balance as they do not expect you to have a family unless you are on the design team. Project charts should be done by the DM's if you have questions you will be reprimanded for asking, which is why DM's get paid lots of money for and know the logistics. Lots of politics w/DM's, HR, and management and terminations.

Pros

Historically a great, forward thinking company with solid benefits and good opportunities to build a real career.

Cons

Gensler's draconian RTO policy is driving so many good employees to look elsewhere.
