Great Place to Have a Career

Pros

Gensler is a great place in which to have a career assuming you put effort into it and take on a leadership role. They are a truly caring company and are employee centered. It is also the type of company where you can just hang out for years although you will not necessarily move upward in the organization. It is what you make it!

Cons

It is a large company so you do need to find your supporters. Fortunately, the studio structure breaks the largeness down, and some of the non-hub offices do feel like a small to medium size offices.

Pros

The environment, culture, people, and office design is impeccable. The various studios offer a wide range of opportunities for interns to learn and gain exposure. The lunch seminars, Design Center events and vendor meetings offer a constant networking and learning experience. The summer intern project allows interns to further research and gain full access to the resources that Gensler has to offer.

Cons

Trying to balance studio work and the summer retail project can be tough, but it is manageable.
