Pros

Senior management cheers young leaders on and provides tools for growth. Professional development planning is a plus. Bonuses. Paid over-time. Working with awesome, diverse, eclectic creatives. Constantly learning about my specialty, while being surrounded by other thought leaders from various practice areas. Promote working on global teams.

Cons

Depending on what project you are staffed on, deadlines/working long hours can come in waves. (Not really a con considering you get paid over-time.)

Pros

A friendly, positive working environment. The people who worked there were very happy to lend a helping hand and solve problems together. The management supported its employees very well and took an interest in everyone from the lowest to the highest levels.

Cons

I found it difficult to speak up to my superiors when something was not satisfying or educational. The corporate structure can be overwhelming, and for an intern specifically, I did not feel secure voicing my opinions.

Pros

Consensus method of decision making means there's always room for your input. People in general are genuinely nice; being not nice is not the Gensler way. They are also usually very very good at what they do. It's growing, so there are opportunities, and also some scrambling to get things done. It works for me.

Cons

Consensus method of decision making means it takes a while to get a decision made. You really, really have to like working in groups and getting to 'yes' without an authoritarian structure. You can move around if you need to; and you might need to find the best place that 'fits' you: different offices have different personalities. That can be good or bad.
