Pros

You sit all day so no long standing or walking around. You meet great people. Time passes quickly. There are great food options available on the compound.

Cons

Monotonous. No room for growth. Don't even bother asking managers for help. You get a 30, a 15 and 5 mins personal time so if you ever want to use the bathroom or get up from your desk outside of those break times, good luck. Probably one of the worst jobs I've had.

Pros

Global Response gave me an opportunity to fully understand the nuts and bolts of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan's healthcare plans. I was given the challenge of updating the group plans to conform with the Healthcare Affordability Act's requirements.

Cons

Global Response was very friendly, but unapproachable because they randomly walked people out the door without explanation. Just threw them to the street and said "We don't need your services anymore." No explanation or anything. Created a very tense environment.

Pros

I worked at Global Response for less than a year before I had to leave for personal reasons. I was in the call center department and compared to a retail job it is a lot better than that. It is very easy to obtain a job there. If you do not have a record and you have experience in customer service most likely you will be hired.

Cons

When I was there the turn out rate was high. That is why they are always hiring. If you do not make your talk time, holds and percentages there is a high chance they will let you go. In the call center departments you are answering calls from multiple companies. One call could be a person calling about cupcakes and another call is from a person needing to get their pool looked at. Its confusing because they want you to sound certain of yourself with the customer but if you can get any call from any business it is hard to become acquainted and familiar with the products that customers are calling about so you can give them correct information.
