Pros
- work / life balance - basic breakroom snack perks (not available in Chicago office) - chill atmosphere - okay salary (not bad but can't be compared to FB/Google standards, as many Bay Area companies aim to be like)
Cons
- there's pockets of camaraderie in the Berkeley office, people genuinely getting along but as a whole, but the company culture is quite lacking. No one really cares for each other outside of the work you're doing - very scattered management team that oversells to external clients without actually checking with the dev teams what is possible and what is not - probably like many other tech companies, HERE says that it adheres to agile principles when they do not. - management is too busy jet-setting around the world trying to keep up with the Waymo's and Uber's and other top autonomous driving companies of the world to care for actual on the ground issues and helping to solve them
