Pros
Good atmosphere and individual collaborations between colleagues within the same team to the point of building private friendships. Hybrid working model. LinkedIn Learning video training platform. Great office perks: coffee machines and small kitchens on every floor, cafeteria with subsidized lunches, breakfast and warm/cold drinks, sauna and gym with free courses, very friendly service staff. Lots of different nationalities, 25% female in a tech company, ages from 20s to 50s.
Cons
The company says that they want to retain their talent, but over the last years have done a lot to contradict this intention (regular restructuring, loss of team structures and collaborations, increased working in silos, not keeping promises for salary increases and promotions, no training budgets, no travel budgets, no budget for team activities). Salary is below market value with no outlook of increases in foreseeable future. The top talent continues to leave and the staff who remain lack orientation and guidance to stay positive nonetheless. Work-life balance is proclaimed as a priority but as soon as workload is high, everyone is expected to work hands on deck. This would be okay if it were not high workload close to all the time. Colleagues are exhausted since there is not enough staff for meaningful backup. Development opportunities are encouraged but not assisted, since there is LinkedIn Learning but no actual hands-on trainings due to lack of individual learning budget. Because of the high workload, it is also difficult to develop more skills on the job through projects. Values are existent but not enforced.
