Pros

Company has many nice people that have a lot of unused potential. Good benefits.

Cons

Long unpaid working hours and there is no work life balance. Expected of you to work 10+ hours with no pay. The heavy process with tons of documentation and approvals is killing all products which are already on a dying path. If you want to join development, do yourself a favor and find another software company to work for. Graveyard for developers, where innovation and new ideas die. The only thing you learn is to use MS Word. No training or career path. People in the same position for 10+ years with no advancement. Too many managers doing nothing other that signing documents.

Pros

Great people and good products. Decent benefits. I felt I was paid well for the work that I did. Organization is trying to migrate existing products to newer technology.

Cons

Organization has expanded by purchasing other businesses that fill a business segment that the company lacks or wishes to improve in. The company now finds themselves under pressure to integrate hardware and software across the organization. Management has a difficult time sticking to a plan. If never fails, as soon as a plan is in place, someone high up the food chain thinks they have a better way to do more in less time! Organization is moving away from direct hires and more to consultants and off shore development. Company would rather spend money on high priced consultants than to develop existing staff and maintain domain logic in-house. Most of the Executive Management team worked for or with each other at prior companies.

Pros

Great teams, great benefits, supportive management team, great company wide communication of company vision, strategy and plans. Great business opportunity home and abroad.

Cons

Stagnant salaries and slow progression. Ceiling is too low. Brutal workloads and poor load balancing among teams. Have felt like I am back in high school.
