Pros

The company is trying to attract software talent and there is an opportunity to get promoted quickly if you are somewhat talented. There are some managers who are smart and care, but the smart ones almost always express their frustration with senior management's decisions.

Cons

No company culture, often felt siloed, software development for complicated applications is almost entirely outsourced, and virtually no onboarding. Most of the software team's job is to manage contracted software teams from other parts of the world and decrypt their documentation, which is a shame since the company's software is needed to be perpetually deployed and managed in hospitals and blood centers around the world.

If you are good at promoting yourself you can go really far. Pay and benefits are good. Great place to contribute to products that help people.

Cons

Lots of people that are really good at promoting themselves, but not not much else, are in positions of authority or influence. Their primary responsibilities are covering their butts and cutting down everybody else. Politics, politics, politics, politics and more politics. Old tools, old technology and old processes.

You get an opportunity to do a lot and learn a lot (but only mainly because of the high turnover ...) Salary is good

Cons

High turnover rate at all company levels Lots of lay offs impacting all company locations No strategy/vision/innovation Terrible communication and no employees' relationship management Many cases of burn-out among employees / no work-life balance/high level of pressure Higher management is completely disconnected from the reality and keeps on changing constantly while making random strategic decisions.
