Pros

The employees that are the production group seem to genuinely care about you as a person. The pay seems to be on the up and up. Medical is pretty good for what you pay. It is small for the employment numbers and does have a facility growth potential.

Cons

Be cautious about the pay offering, it does come back and bite you in the form of negativity in upper management. The thought behind it is your pay justifies a lack of recognition or opens the door to daily negative judgement. There is also a perception that the better you demoralize or injure a person the faster way to being recognized and earning awards. The only thing that matters in the Plant Leadership is the green numbers in the monthly end. Safety is not a practiced encouragement, it is a forced regiment of mindless paperwork. Quality is also under the same guidelines as safety, where move and manipulate the numbers is forced and not proven and supported. Most of the production floor feels like they have to talk about something in meetings or they will be punished by the highest manager. This in turn leads to delays in making the facility run better or smoother. And leads back to the negative treatment of the core team staff to explain why the issue exists. This leads to finger pointing, backstabbing, discomfort in teamwork and problem solving and just a fear of any communication between people. Mostly you will find fear in the whole group, from the bottom to the top.

HAE needs a major turn around

Pros

Finally focusing on R&D, good CIO, good head of R&D

Cons

The buildings in Braintree reflect their culture. Old, dated, worn out and dirty. Old product line that needs a complete refresh. This should be leaderships top priority. Their tech is way too old and no one wants it anymore. The only way they can grow their sales with current products is to sell it cheaply to third world countries. Corporate functions of Finance, Legal and HR are stuck in the 1970s. Every time the Exec Committee meets, they walk away with a new plan and never finish what was started. They seem to shift gears monthly. Therefore there are too many projects and too many priorities and never enough money allocated to any of them done well. Then a lot of money is wasted on poorly managed and abandoned projects. It will be a long time before they start to make money again.

HR/Talent Management

Pros

I have met and worked with a lot of great, brilliant people. Unfortunately due to the culture and leadership, they wisely move on adding to the worst turnover I've ever seen at a company.

Cons

HR leadership lacks the experience and capability needed to effectively support the organization. The CHRO provides minimal strategic direction or support, resulting in poor communication and a lack of alignment across teams. Talent Management leadership is particularly problematic, marked by unprofessional conduct, excessive micromanagement, and a management style that fosters fear rather than development. This abusive and narcissistic leaders approach has contributed to a toxic work environment for direct reports in the U.S. and has negatively impacted team culture within the Switzerland-based office as well.
