Pros

For my situation,I live in town. I love the fact I dont have to commute. I like most of the people I work with. I like to meet new people all the and do enjoy serving and assisting the guests.

Cons

No recognition from management for passing inspections. Without the hotel staff, we would,nt be here.No incentives to want to stay working here.no raises,no employee reviews. you try to offer any money making ideas or improve guest services and your declined.no cost of living incentives. I have been here for 5 years and have recieved no positive imformation and no raises.

Pros

Opportunities to travel, cheap hotel rates (when available), nice office facilities, some good colleagues

Cons

Opportunities for career advancement seem to be given to those least deserving and junior employees do not in my experience receive the support and compensation they need to boost morale enough. There is a scheme for university leavers which gives them experience of the hotel industry, a respectable starting salary and training in various areas of the business however this seems to be done at the expense of existing junior employees and often the trainees are given projects to work on which overlap and in certain cases obstruct the work of others.

Pros

When I first started at the hotel, I thought it would be an opportunity to get my foot in the door with a Hilton affiliated property, while putting time in and hopefully managing a hotel of my own in the future. I love some of the people that I work with, they are really great people, but in the other hand it is hard when when it seems like the blind leadin the blind.

Cons

1.) turnover is high 2.) pay is low 3.) professionalism is low all of the well trained good people are leaving. That is a major problem. People are unhappy because they work hard and make so little. Management is unprofessional in how they deal with associates and business in general. Intervention is needed, before they palce falls apart from the inside out.
