Pros

6% 401k match and immediate vesting

Cons

The Denver office is a joke. They all gather in cliques and if you’re not in one, prepare to be ignored, isolated, and picked apart. Training is laughable, as it’s basically nonexistent and management expects you to know everything while telling you the exact opposite. Work-life balance is atrocious, and if you dare work 9 hours with no lunch, be prepared to hear about it. Office culture promotes immaturity, do as I say not as I do and bullying. I wish I had gone with my initial gut instinct and not accepted the job.

Pros

-Reputable company with a variety of accounts and opportunities for transfer (depending on where you reside) -Vacation benefits are competitive and increase with tenure -EAP is generous and easy to use -Access to software and tools to complete day to day tasks -The Hines company principles, overall, are motivating -Company has been increasing its Learning and Development presence since COVID placed more attention on online attention

Cons

Specifically relating to the Facilities experience operating on a client portfolio: -Lack of company identity and a general disconnect from corporate policies, procedures, and protections for employees servicing tech clients (echoing the Amazon sentiment buried under the swath of one line glowing reviews below) Specifically relating to Hines @ Facebook Seattle: -Talent acquisition is lacking. Often business operates with roles remaining open for long periods of time and candidates considered are personal connections or lacking in professional experience -Low ceiling. There is a limited amount (2 total) of roles/titles available and lack of support to move beyond -Local management team is able to operate with little oversight, setting the tone to align with their own personal comfort/views, which can dramatically shift the culture and expectations of the workplace -There is a disinterest in cultivating talent or allowing team members to exhibit ambition or interest in growth -No access to Hines corporate events offering connection and professional growth but rather locally organized, alcohol driven celebrations (swimsuits) that not attending can result in your manager restricting opportunity
