Pros

Great product. Loyal Customers. Pay is good. Full Compliment of benefits. Company car, laptop, blackberry, expense account. Tremendous breathe of technology and expertise to draw from.

Cons

Management totally incompetent. No knowledge of marketplace, competitors and what really will help get product sold. Outrageous quotas in some instances as much as 5000% growth expected from one year to the next. Very bureaucratic structure of company made it difficult to get the simplest things accomplished. Tremendous turnover. Terrible Customer Service caused unbelievable anger and hostility by Customers towards Company. Management would make promises to Customer's face and break them. No tact or diplomacy from upper Management. President stated at meeting "The Reps. are over paid $80K is to much for just getting up in the morning, washing your face, visiting a Customer and giving out your card". Management felt we should not attempt to "PARTNER" with Customers. But treat them purely as Customers who are only worth our time if they are buying. Product launches are half thought out and ill conceived.

Pros

Honeywell is a great name to have on your resume. They also do a lot of rotations between positions so if you are there for any length of time you will most likely get to know a lot about the business.

Cons

Honeywell claims to be big on training but I disagree. There are classes available to all employees but that is if you have time to take them and none of them are job specific. Honeywell just throws an employee into a position with no training and litle guidance or access to resources. For this reason a lot of people are stressed on a daily basis. Once a person actually masters the skills necessary to perform the job, with little help from anyone else, they are up for a new rotation to start the process again. The corporate culture is another downside. This place is all about office politics. It is all about making your boss happy. That means providing the information that they beleive they want, not necessarily providing the best information. The way to move up here is not by hard work or being skilled, more about your relationship with your boss.

Pros

The company has a open culture, people are free to dive into any issues. The company takes care of work life balance, provides ample opportunities of fun while working I could hardly remember any month when there was no event being organized by the company. Its ideal for people who want a balanced lifestyle. The free food facility at the cafeteria was a huge attraction to me. The HR at Honeywell is very good, they try their best to keep employees happy and resolve most of the issues with proper intervention. It looks more of a fun and learning place where people join in have some fun while working and then another day starts. Innovation workshops are awesome feature here.

Cons

Some of the employees are very mediocre ,, may be due to huge demand of heads. The promotion policies could be more flexible but are not because of old age of company.
