Pros

Human Rights Watch has a dedicated and passionate staff. The organization's mission is admirable and I was able to lend my expertise to pressing events.

Cons

Lack of growth opportunities for mid-level staff.

Pros

Important work, great platform, smart and committed colleagues

Cons

There have just been mass layoffs that were solely the result of financial mismanagement and were handled in a way that signaled an almost sadistic disregard for staff wellbeing. When you lose trust this spectacularly it doesn’t come back any time soon.

No scope of growth

Pros

Good team, although they had a mass lay off recently so the place isn't what it used to be.

Cons

No scope of growth as an Associate whatsoever. You will be filing expenses your whole life.
