They definitely succumbed to American corporate practices...
Pros
History of the company is impressive, when IKEA of Sweden has our backs, decisions are made in the interests of the coworkers, though this does not happen often. Workplace culture at the bottom level is overall, amazing.
Cons
After the infamous "O4G" restructuring, US corporate support all but vanished from a ground level perspective, an incredibly drastic difference from just months prior. The company was already slow to respond to coworker complaints, but at least things worked prior to this and we could figure things out on our own, with the agency we once had. Executive management seems to have completely lost touch with ground level. Work ethic and values cultivated prior to restructuring have been consistently abused since, and senior level coworkers have been dropping like flies.
