Pros

Decent benefits. HR seemed nice.

Cons

The payroll manager is a terrible leader and made my life hell from day 1. Their payroll processes are not documented and there was little training on how to do my job.

Pros

Great salary Work From home Stock Purchase Plans

Cons

Process changes and leadership selection have caused chaos at present. Process change almost daily. Lack of effective training on the company CRM, SAP, and paths for escalation make mistakes easy to make. The biggest con thought is the lack of feedback you will get on how you personally are doing WILL cause you to feel uncertain about your effectiveness. The managers almost never give positive feedback.

Communication isn’t there through all departments especially HR and Payroll. Payroll have messed up my pay and tax documents TWICE

Generally most people were great to work with.

Cons

Many people echoed poor work/life balance. Seemed like a lot of burn out was occurring. The person in charge of my training when I joined was clearly working too much, can’t imagine they’d want to train someone new with their workload. Poor training for new hires, mainly due to lack of time/resources. Then get told you ask too many questions due to the poor training. MKS has a long way to go to be competitive. Local HR folks seemed more with the times than corporate HR. I learned a lot from having conversations with local people.

Internal education and training are available. Strong financial performance overall. Technical environment. Good team of kind individuals.

Cons

- Lack of business process training and expectations & requirements to follow business processes causes a lot of wasted time and quality issues due to conflicting expectations. -Company suffers from lack of bench strength in most positions (labor cost cutting). This leads to bad decisions and bad management at local level until the higher level management takes notice and action. -The desire / requirement for high ROI at the plant level also has some negative effects on innovation.
