      Magna has everything right on paper, but they are still a large company.

      Pros

      Great opportunities for advancement. Interesting work, as a you can get into many varieties of engineering and the company has the respect of its customers. Nice benefits package.

      Cons

      Management roles on their whims, don't count on bonuses following the metrics. It is not clear who has the power; local management, corporate, consultants. Each division competes a bit too aggressively vs. cooperating.

      Toxic Culture at Magna Electronics

      Pros

      Easy to get promoted with the insane amount of turnover after most top performers have left the company.

      Cons

      Company culture has quickly devolved into an overwhelmingly toxic work environment. Leadership at the Electronics division is remarkably out of touch with employees. Expected to execute in disorganized environment with no mistakes, or face condescending criticism from a leadership team that is obviously in over their heads. Almost every project is red, most engineers working nights and weekends for the past year. Forcing engineers to return to office full time. Not listening to proposals raised about hybrid or remote working. Compensation is below average.
