On some of the concerns that you have raised, we have recently made some instrumental changes to enable a great employee experience. For example, we have formally introduced a program to enable skip-level engagement and easy feedback sharing in India. There are several measures to promote employee wellbeing.       Experience with OYO the startup

      Pros

      Outside sales and flexibility, Great salary $60k -$75k range for BDM's. Mileage reimbursement, work phone, work laptop, leads provided, close small teams to work with.

      Cons

      Leads were 1 - 1.5 hours away from home. We weren't allowed to work outside of out clusters (territory), unless you received a referral. Leads were passed around to 4-8 different reps, aggravated hotel owners and front desk. Mass hire, which lead to a company wide layoff, internationally and nationally, 2 weeks severance, no notice. If you were the first group of hires you were able to choose your own leads, if you were in the last group you got the short end of the stick and received leads that were passed around and spread out around LA and outside of the county. Very difficult to close a sale. Business model was always changing.
