Pros

Benefits are good, free coffee, fruit, juice, vacation days, and discounts on several restaurants. You can take some of the Oracle courses for free (no charge to your org/division), and if you want to take any paid course usually management approve it. Flexibility to work from home when required. Also, at least for my department, we used to install/upgrade latest RDBMS versions which is very challenging and learn the new things faster

Cons

Salary hikes are very difficult, you can spend 3-4 years with no hikes, so better to join the company with a very good salary if you want to be for a long time there. And if you get one it usually won’t be a substantial one. Heard of cases that is better to leave the company and a year later be rehired to get a better salary.

Pros

Great pay and benefits, the work environment is very friendly. They help with relocation in case you are external, and they are very focused in training and educating you.

Cons

The hiring process is extremely slow and ambiguous, it took about 3 months to undergo the whole process before actually knowing if they would hire me even with being a recent grad.

Pros

Offers stability, the salary and benefits are above the average. In the services area (consulting), the company allows freedom for action.

Cons

Focused on software sales, while services are third term. Does not take into account client requirements or client’s context. Does not care about an actual / realistic architecture for the client but just in an architecture that gives Oracle arguments to sell more in an immediate time and without clear benefits for the clients.
