Pros

Vision is unchanged: to be recognized as a world-class service company Team-based Culture that promotes ownership Pushes decision making to those working daily with customers Leaders who are regularly thinking about improving customer experience and driving employee engagement Opportunity for those willing to put in the work

Cons

Culture can seem 'wide-open' which doesn't work for those wanting very clear, scripted, organized work environment Can lead to change fatigue if communication is unclear

Pros

There are some very good people at the lowest levels but they're leaving fast, the best being picked off by Amazon and Austin-based firms.

Cons

1. Outclassed and outgunned by Amazon, both Rackspace cost is way too high and their support isn't needed when you have a enterprise-grade solution like AWS. This is an outdated, unneeded business that's going to die. 2. Appalling top management that doesn't understand the industry, the customers or the technology. Very few technology leaders in the company and generally poor level of skill throughout. 3. Even worse middle management. Director and Senior Director-level is political, devious, self-serving and causing rot from the inside out. There's no career path for anyone under this level and the average grunt can expect endless changes in manager and job titles with no pay increases. 4. No accountability of employees - people who should have been fired years ago continue to vest and managers are afraid to do anything. It's impossible to get fired by being useless so workloads are shifted onto responsible employees who are overworked as a result. 5. Highly reactive management so while major layoffs have been planned for months, they're still hiring 50+ people a week. Word is that 10% of the workforce is about to be cut soon. 6. Nepotism is rife. The CEO puts his buddies in areas where they are out of their depth. Some of these individuals are downright nasty, psychopathic types who wouldn't survive anywhere else. CEO hides among the 100+ VP who work here - more VPs than I've ever seen at a firm this size.

Pros

Great culture and people. The work environment is very relaxed and hip. Pay was also good with the work and service you provide to your clients if you were on the Support end of things.

Cons

Some departments develop a "good-ole boy" atmosphere that have some employees questioning why they were past up on certain promotions when it was "their time". The company gushes with favoritism and lack of transparency when making organization changes.
