Vacation time is excellent and I was lucky enough to be on a team full of flexible, considerate managers. Coworkers are fun and generally upbeat. The people are what makes the cons worth it.

Cons

Reckitt does not treat R&D very well compared to business/marketing. Facilities are falling apart and budgets are tight. Some managers are disliked, but most are good.

Pros

The Placement Scheme at Reckitt is well structured by the HR team and you are well supported. You engage in lots of charity work and have to chance to network and shadow various roles.

Cons

Your experience depends on your manager and team. Some teams were quite active and had lots of team building days and exercises and others rarely came into the office. Also, depending on your role, your hours differ from other students as some roles (mostly lab roles) can involve machinery that needs specific amounts of time/write ups. You don’t get a guaranteed graduate role after the year which sucks.
