Pros

The place is one where you are given a lot of freedom to make a contribution in the way you best see fit, as long as they see it fitting into the overall picture. Quite a bit of professional development built into the marketing/product manufacturing function.

Cons

Ownership has changed and the culture seems to have changed a little bit away from the personal feel it once had. This may give way to better opportunity with the new ownership and growth opportunities outside of the company proper.

Pros

The overall work environment is very laid back and low stress.

Cons

The compensation is low based on industry averages and advancement opportunities are close to non-existent. Benefits are pretty standard. Another review mentioned that the company promotes based on years of service rather than merit and it's absolutely true.

Pros

They have money to afford good equipment and software.

Cons

This company likes to hire a diverse workforce which is in and of itself ok, but when there is bias shown to foreign workers because managers are from the same country diversity can go wrong. I wasn't welcome to work at this company, programmers were over worked and over stressed, the programmer who "showed me the ropes", told me several lies and misinformation from day one, ridiculous then she happily exclaimed that they were dropping a project on me she gave up on. I worked the project to the delight of upper management because I was getting somewhere on the project, the other fat lazy programmer that introduced me to the company was doing everything she could to put me down with IT management when they realized I was making a break through, they even went as far as trying to sabotage my work... worst place to work ever unless your an Asian woman.
