Pros

Besides the obvious (pay and benefits) Salesforce is actually a pretty fun place to work. I can only speak for the sales side and working out of the SF office, I don't know much about the other orgs. Overall they do a great job hiring intelligent social people who will have fun while still working hard. The product is the best on the market and the technology for the most part blows competition out of the water. For me the best part about working at Salesforce has been the people / co-workers.

Cons

Salesforce has an interesting way of recognizing and measuring success, which is mostly driven by tooting your own horn. The practice of "building you brand" is more important to your career than doing intelligent and meaningful work. The company is driven by sales and this causes unrealistic expectations on both the sales side as well as product rollout. Many (but not all) of the low to mid level managers are either unqualified or strive too hard to please superiors. The company is more focused on showing and telling about how great it is than actually being great.

Pros

The products, the company still has a good reputations as well. Location at Salesforce Dublin is easy to commute to, even if you're coming / commuting from further away.

Cons

- As an AE at Salesforce one loses the assigned accounts / account patch at the beginning of every financial year. If one has sales pipeline built up doesn't matter it's all gone - Sales targets are too high - Account patches can't be grown during the year, thus success is only for the few who have the luck of having a good account patch - Salesforce Dublin has a big unprofessional childish kindergarden atmosphere to it - salaries are not the best and non negotiable - Salesforce Dublin is like a revolving door, once one is in, one is out quickly. I've seen colleagues who were hired, just to be fired with no chance to success given - Salesforce Dublin constantly posts videos online on how great everything is but in reality they are desperate to find employees - On-boarding is largely unrealistic - The management style is only about threats and sticks, no carrots

Pros

I have been with this company for 4 years earning my promotion to LMTS. Prior to January 2023 we used to have a good culture of respect to individuals. Salesforce had its own unique Ohana culture.

Cons

1. The place is a diversity nightmare. The true objectives of diversity hiring are abused and you will see totally unworthy candidates promoted or hired to meet diversity numbers. 2. The place is a nepotism hotbed. I was asked to interview a PMTS candidate for Tableau India but then recruitment team suddenly informed me that the interview will not happen. I was then informed that the candidate had been hired in any case and was the own brother of the VP sitting in the US. All processes were bypassed for this hiring to happen. I had a similar experience with the hyperforce team where such manipulations and abuse happens.
