Not somewhere I would ever recommend but to each their own.

Pros

There is a decent amount of freedom depending on which team you are on. Remote work is typically an option for anyone who's interested or you can be full-time in house or a hybrid of the two. There is so much work and so much change that you will learn A TON... but it'll be at a firehouse pace so it's hard to sustain.

Cons

Extremely toxic culture. "Leadership" that specialized in gaslighting and very blatant threats. An HR department that chooses to sweep complaints about senior leaders (from multiple people and orgs) under the rug. HR seemed to purposely omit exit interviews for many people I knew who left for some of these reasons. Constant reminders about how we're all "Ohana" but yet numerous mass layoffs with little warning, PIPs were given to people for little to nothing, unreasonable expectations were set to purposely to drive people out of the company (i.e., expecting an associate engineer who joined my team to deliver the same level of work I was within their first month... they quit last year too). Politics ruled the world; you couldn't get anything done unless you were doing a favor for another team or going to the top of the chain to force it down someone's throat... which people often thought was funny to do on a Friday afternoon to force others to work the weekend. Initiatives were constantly changing before the previous one was completed. Management never really seemed to know what was actually the focus of the month because, quite frankly, they were moved around so often and so overloaded, they rarely knew more than the "1000 foot view" of the product they were supposed to be managing. Hours mandated were ridiculous; some days we worked until 3 or 4am and were expected back on shift by 9 or 10am; wasn't uncommon to work 60 to 80 hour weeks, occasionally seeing 90 to 105 (yes in a single week and no that'snot an exaggeration). A considerable amount of talk publicly about "work life balance" but it wasn't present in the slightest in our org. I could honestly write another entire thesis on the things that weren't great about working here after my 7 years. I left because I just didn't want to deal with it anymore (like MANY others) and I've literally talked a number of people out of even trying to apply. If you're young, single, and love to do nothing but work your life away, it'll be a great place to learn but don't get stuck there in the golden handcuffs if the position doesn't suit you. There are MUCH better places to work who will treat you like a person instead of a feature delivering dog.

Pros

- Benefits / perks - products are elite and new exciting acquisitions - Work with some great people who are extremely passionate

Cons

- Base salary for internal promotes is significantly lower so you’re effectively punished for staying with the company - Internal meetings & training keep increasing limiting time you can spend with customers - Drink the “kool aid” or risk being shunned - Growing targets with reduced territories - Local leadership are useless and have no authority to action anything. Always go via the US it’s laughable - Workplace bullying and micromanagement is common - Bureaucracy is out of control. Nothing can be done without a form going through a chain of command via 10 people which seems ironic given the who product value proposition is to promote simplicity and automation.

Pros

Good school and place to learn and grow your skillset Challenging place where you're thrown without resources Perfect place to get out of the comfort zone and grow

Cons

No gender equality, hiring women is measured in KPIs and always preferred over men, even taking senior positions at a quicker pace Feedback for improving org is never heard and ignored Employees are just numbers and ACV and they are treated as such
