Pros

Cons

management is incompetent. many of the staff are incompetent. the titles are very much over inflated. They blatantly do not protect customer data. They place emphasis on loyalty over experience and expertise. They are very discriminatory.

Pros

There are a number of postives about working at Salesforce. The culture is very employee focused. The compensation and benefits packages are competitive. My first and second line manager are some of the best people I have worked with in my career. Also, the product set is solid and is really having a large impact at the customers.

Cons

Ultimately, as a sales professional, it is about how much money you make, and I have not made much since I have been with Salesforce. You get paid based on net new ACV. However, if you are managing accounts that don't increase their footprint, you don't get a dime in commissions. Also, you get paid on ACV, not TCV. So if you have a client sign a deal for $1M a year for 3 years, you only get credit for the $1M. Depending on the team you are on, some of the quotas are completely unrealistic. For me to make my quota this fiscal year, I need to grow my territory by over 600%. That is just to make my quota. The other frustrating part is that a peer on another team sitting next to me could have a $1M quota, and mine could be 3-5X and we could be calling on the same size Enterprise accounts.

I appreciate you taking the time to leave your review. However, I don't share your belief that there is nothing we can do to keep our company culture strong and remain a great place to work as we grow. Our management team made culture number one on our company goal plan for the last two years. Please stick with us and generously give us your feedback and ideas on how we can improve our employee experience via Chatter, the Feedback app, and our twice yearly employee survey. Together, we can make sure we don't become just another large software business. Cindy Robbins EVP, Global Employee Success
