Pros

Good compensation and benefit overall

Cons

Salesforce APAC is the bad and poor management compare with other regions. Politics, Blaming each other, "Pointing finger", inconsistency, MICRO management, insult and public harassment (especially during forecast review), favouritism are all happened here. It was bring me to surprise as they have been always proud to be "THE BEST WORKPLACE", but in reality, IT IS FAR away from best workplace. Value: They put "TRUST" as number 1 value but it is not the case. It is just MARKETING act to drive market perception and attract people to join. Micro management has been cascaded from top management to manager. They grilled people during forecast call, humiliate them in front of peers, inappropriate wording that I have never seen in my whole careers. Value number 2 is "Customer Success" which is all MARKETING only. What they care is only BRING THE DEALS IN, at every cost! They are not really care even the customer ended up with fail implementation, they just "hit and run" sales management. Value number 3 - Innovation, they tried to launch new innovation but their partner ecosystems are not ready. A lot of escalation happened and nobody would like to take the ownership. Value number 4 - equality, Favouritism are happening here. People got promoted just only because they pleased top management. You need to be their inner circle to get promoted. TRANSPARENCY is the BIGGEST problem in Salesforce. Last week was "sad week" in almost every region in the world. After strong earning report, they announced that there will be a "reshaping the business" which is LAY OFF - which was the same day they cut thousand people around the world. They called - "RESHAPING ", "People that get impacted", "Sunset organisation" and any other terminology then LAY OFF. They says that they are growing and actively hiring but the fact is: A lot of peoples are resign and very rare for people to stay more than 2 years or even 1 year, they keep hiring because they need to fill in the position.

Pros

- health benefits - pension

Cons

- Horrible work-life balance, managers sending emails at night and even whatsapping you after working hours. Expected to work much more than in your contract. Almost impossible to go on vacation without feeling immense stress! - Customer are no longer king at this company... Its all about short-term success and receiving payments and thats where its left. Had to deal with tons of customers that were pissed off and disappointed with service. Only the big enterprises seem to be treated well. - Promotions seem to be purely based on politics. I have also heard from certain team members that managers suggest employees to loose weight in order to be more successful. - There is a massive fraternity like culture in the Dublin office. Friends promote each other, and managers are known to gossip about their teams - Office location in Dublin is dark, small, and they offer almost no snacks anymore

Pros

Salesforce’s products are for the most part the best in class. They are constantly innovating on the product and it usually delivers well for customers. Coworkers here are great, some of the smartest people you will come across and best in breed sales reps. You feel pride working at Salesforce. For the most part leadership is talented.

Cons

The media has an image that Salesforce is the number 1 place to work. This is not the case for sales. Many of the sales reps are unhappy with many things but stay because of how well the company performs/innovates. Base salaries are extremely low. There are very few people that are hitting their annual numbers and the overall compensation plus base is just not there. So much of it is based on territory but leaders will say to their graves that all territories are even. We would have much more appreciated it being called out vs. lying to our faces that they are all spread equally. Overall there is a lot of negativity here and much of this stems from the unhappy customers. Salesforce customers, especially in the SMB space don’t have the money to spend to implement Salesforce so their orgs are bad and adoption is extremely low. Account executives are responsible for selling - but also dealing with all unhappy customers, cancellations, technical support questions, etc. It doesn’t help that the renewals and billing teams are both outsourced to foreign counties and are extremely hard to work with (both internally and externally). You might close a huge deal but you’ll then have to deal with the repercussions of all the above.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. As you know, customer success is our top priority so it's great to see what you've mentioned about our products evolving. What you've listed in the cons is concerning however, and we do take this seriously. If you're comfortable, I'd recommend that you connect with your Employee Success Business Partner directly to discuss this openly.
